In Boston, MA, EGR Crew took to the water for the Head of the Charles Regatta (HOCR). This was EGR's first trip to the largest multi-day regatta in the world. The HOCR draws an estimated 250,000 spectators along with 11,000 athletes representing clubs, high schools (public & private), colleges, and even countries. "The Head of the Charles is truly a spectacle of rowing," said Head Coach Brian Chorney. "Part reunion, part rowing carnival, part recruiting event, part trade show, and yes... a regatta in an amazing part of the country during a wonderful time of year.  Our team worked hard to earn this trip and I'm so glad they had a phenomenal experience to bond over on and off the water." A special congratulations to our highest finishing boat.  The Girls Four (c. Ella Pike, 4. Anna Olsen, 3. Hannah Smith, 2. Cameron Schorr, 1. Evie VanderArk) got the team off to a blazing start by traversing six bridges and five turns over three miles with the 24th fastest time of 84 crews in their event, earning East at least one boat in next year's regatta.
